Privacy Policy
Updated: October 10, 2026 · EthanDev / NoteFlow
1. Who operates NoteFlow
NoteFlow is operated under the EthanDev brand by an independent developer based in Japan. This policy covers the NoteFlow extension, this website and the account and billing services used with NoteFlow.
2. Content you choose to import
The extension extracts and processes selected page content, captions and AI conversations in your browser. When you request an import, it sends the selected material to your own Google NotebookLM account. The source websites and Google process requests according to their own policies. We do not upload that imported material to our own application server to perform the import.
Bookmarks, settings, import history, quotas and generated exports are handled locally. Local PDF generation does not require uploading your document to our server.
3. Accounts and licences
Optional sign-in uses Supabase. Account data can include your email address, user identifier, authentication profile, sign-in information and paid licence status. If you choose Google sign-in, the sign-in provider shares the profile information needed for authentication.
The extension stores its sign-in session and a licence cache in Chrome's local extension storage so it can keep you signed in and determine your access. Our backend stores the licence plan, status, billing period and identifiers needed to match a purchase to your account.
4. Payments
Paid checkout is not yet enabled. When Paddle checkout is activated, Paddle will process payments as merchant of record. Paddle may collect the checkout email, billing details, payment information and other information needed to process the transaction and taxes. We receive transaction and customer identifiers, amounts, plan and subscription or refund status needed to provide your licence and support. Full card details are entered in Paddle's hosted checkout, not in our extension.
Read Paddle's Privacy Notice for its processing of payment information.
5. Website requests and support
Cloudflare hosts this website and provides DNS and HTTPS. Website requests can produce technical records such as IP address, requested URL, time and browser information for delivery and security. Fonts loaded from Google Fonts generate requests to Google. If you open our YouTube demo or another external link, that provider's own policy applies.
When you contact support, we receive the email address and information you send us. Our support mailbox is hosted by Alibaba Mail, which processes messages and related delivery information. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes or full card numbers. Share only the material needed to explain the issue.
6. Why we use this information
We use account and transaction data to authenticate you, deliver the correct licence, manage subscriptions and refunds, investigate misuse and answer support requests. Technical records help deliver the website and diagnose failures. We do not sell your personal information or use your imported content for advertising.
7. Service providers and international processing
Relevant providers include Supabase for authentication and application data, Paddle for future paid checkout, Cloudflare for website hosting and DNS, Alibaba Mail for support email, Google for NotebookLM, optional Google sign-in and website fonts, and the source websites you choose. Provider infrastructure may process information outside Japan or your home country.
8. Storage and your choices
Local extension data stays on your device until you clear it or remove the extension. Account, licence and support records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve payment issues or meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Deleting a local extension does not automatically delete an online account or billing records.
You can use the free features without signing in, choose which content to import, sign out, clear local data, and contact us to request access, correction or deletion of account information. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this page when our data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
